Skype Birth: Kim Tennant's Delivery Broadcast For Soldier Husband

Deployed Soldier Watches Child's Birth On Skype

A New York hospital recently experienced it's first online birth. The birth of baby Jackson Matthew was streamed live via Skype, so that his solider dad could see his son enter the world.

Mom Kim Tennant says, "it was weird having a laptop right next to you, but you know, for the fact that he could be part of it and to experience it and to see his son being born, it was wonderful."

After 27 hours of labor, the healthy baby boy was born in the presence of both parents, even though his father is stationed thousands of miles away in Korea.
