Keith Olbermann Gets The 'I'm With Coco' Treatment (PICTURE)

Maybe Keith Olbermann doesn't have the geeky warmth of Conan O'Brien, but that doesn't make him any less worthy of his own grass roots movement, right? And as wunderkind illustrator Mike Mitchell proved with his indelible "I'm With Coco" image, nothing unites people against NBC like a great avatar.

With that in mind, we unveil the new battle flag of #TeamOlbo. One can only hope that such a groundswell of support inspires Olbermann to spend the next 6 months to a year delivering his Special Comments in 140-character, non-competitive increments.

Yes, we love you Keith, but here's a b-busting MSNBC phenom that I won't soon forget: http://thelastword.msnbc.msn.com/

More like KOOK. This way we see Olby as KO and OK, put them together and you get KOOK which is how Olby acted on air. One can only hope he grows up and his hero worshiping flock get over it because I've seen better and I think KOOK aka KO could do better and I think he was putting on an act to inflame his audience to be active in politics. If he was for real then he's just a KOOK. ROFL.

I do not think it means what you think it means.

Changed my avatar to something supporting Keith...but HuffPo has to approve it. We'll see what happens.

Nice! They approve most avatars and posts. Seen many death threats and wish someone was dead comments. Things are loose here.

Perhaps you could make a pMSNBC avatar to reflect the old company image. ROFL!

Keith projected more warmth and humor. He respected and uplifted his audience with his brilliant prose. I remember him more with a smile - like the cat who ate the mouse. This portrait does not capture his essence. Nevertheless I am glad the artist put it out.

It's a rich language - learn to use it.

Huh? Warmth and humor? I can't believe we even speak the same language.
06:57 PM on 01/31/2011
He speaks Sheeple. I barely understand the hero worship with Creep Ogermann

I don't understand.

Olbermann doesn't have geeky warmth, are you serious? The guy who pontificates purple prose and reads short stories by James Thurber on air every week isn't geeky and warm?”

Just because Keith didn't let himself get completely screwed over and was able to walk away with his contract being honored doesn't mean this whole thing doesn't stink of corporate censorism. Just take a look at who is still sitting in front of cameras spewing hate and violence...

Keith Olbermann is his own man, and we need more men like him. We haven't heard the last from him, you can be sure of that.

“"Maybe Keith Olbermann doesn't have the geeky warmth of Conan O'Brien,"
.

It was at this point that I knew it was going to be a crappy article.

Granted, the article is only four sentences long, but to open with such a glaringly false statement is not a good start. Olbermann doesn't have geeky warmth, are you serious? The guy who pontificates purple prose and reads short stories by James Thurber on air every week isn't geeky and warm?

And he could get the Pythons to come on his show too! I loved his humor references.

As a devout fan of CoCo + Olbo, I'd love to see Keith take Conan's route and perhaps do a major city lecture tour. I caught CoCo's tour and it sustained me until he returned to TV.

Plus, I want an Olbo t-shirt.

Great idea...

Its fantastic that MSNBCers seem as enthralled with KO as fox watchers are with O'Reilly or Hannity. If large salaries and applause are the bi-products of a singularly dogmatic point of view, I'd bet both sides are more than willing to twist facts to suite their needs.

We get him---you obviously don't. To each his own but makes me wonder why people who didn't watch Keith feel the need to jump into the discussion. I try to avoid threads about people I don't care about.
