Ashton Kutcher Talks Apocalyptic Warning (VIDEO)

Apparently, Ashton Kutcher doesn't actually think the world is coming to an end.

The 'No Strings Attached' star stopped by 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' to promote his new romantic comedy, which opened number one at the box office this past weekend, and got to talking about the recent Men's Fitness he covered -- and the apocalyptic warning he gave.

In the interview, Kutcher said:

"And people are going to go, 'That land's not yours, prove that it's yours,' and the only thing you have to prove it's yours is on an electric file. Then it's like, 'What's the value of currency, and whose food is whose?' People's alarm systems at their homes will no longer work. Neither will our heating, our garbage disposals, hot-water heaters that run on gas but depend on electricity - what happens when all our modern conveniences fail? I'm going to be ready to take myself and my family to a safe place where they don't have to worry."

But speaking to Fallon, he said that was all a joke that the interviewer didn't quite pick up on.

"Here's the thing: you do these interviews for like a Men's Fitness or something, and they're always asking you like, why do you work out, what's your motivation to stay in shape?" Kutcher said. "And you really don't want to say I want to look good, I want to be healthy, it doesn't really sound fun. So I kind of got going on this roll of the apocalypse and I thought she was getting the joke, and I read the article and she really didn't get the joke."

And though he tried to clarify on Twitter right after it came out, Kutcher said that he got all sorts of messages from people who really believe in the oncoming end of world.

Sorry, guys: with number one movies coming out, Kutcher probably doesn't want to go hide in caves at this point.
