Dan Abrams Jumping To ABC News

Dan Abrams, NBC News' chief legal correspondent and the publisher of Mediaite, is set to jump to ABC News after nearly 15 years on NBC, Politico reports.

Though the deal has not been finalized, it's all but official. Abrams is expected to become a legal analyst for the network. He would join ABC News' legal team, with 20/20 anchor and chief legal correspondent Chris Cuomo, Justice correspondent Pierre Thomas and Supreme Court correspondent Terry Moran. He would also be a fill-in anchor on the weekend edition of "Good Morning America."

Abrams will remain publisher of Mediaite and the head of his digital firm Abrams Research. He has had a long tenure at NBC and MSNBC, hosting two shows on the latter network and even running it from 2006 to 2007.

Remember when charles grodin had his talk show? dana carvey did a dead on impersonation of him in which he barely moved or spoke....first time i saw abrams show on msnbc all i could think of was carvey doing grodin...paint drying/paint peelingly boring dude.

However ABC has sunk all time low for ratings...this morning they had two consultants, with their outlooks in general Donna Brazile vs Christine ( gone cuckoo) O`donnell.

I used to watch Dan when he had his own show. He started going down hill so I stopped watching. He gets called in for legal opinions on NBC on a fairly regular basis. And he doesn't seem to be on top of the issue he's addressing. So that's usually when I get up and either take a bathroom break or go out for a breath of fresh air.
