Why is my healthcare still tied to my job? Why are employers the correct vehicle to distribute health insurance, when people move in and out of jobs constantly?

I would only ask one question, Did you guys read the Constitution and actually understand it when you put that monstrosity of a bill through?

This is not a question - its a possible discovery that may help in many ways.
The daily cycle of food in and waste out that ties together all the following" wake and sleep, hunger and fear, hot and cold , overweight and underweight, social and self oriented.

Food in - Day -Wake-Hunger-oral-hot-overweight - moves towards others for nurturing.

Waste out-Night-Sleep-Fear- anal--cold-underweight - moves towards self to excrete out waste.

FULL DAY CYCLE;

DAY:Temperature rises through day - body temperature getting hotter - emotion of being hungry prompts body to eat - move towards food - continues through day - peaks at night before sleep.

Overweight person - too hot, always hungry - oral personality - moves towards food, main emotion angry - subconscious weaning pattern of hungry for breast milk, set up in childhood in ENS, enteric nervous system.

NIGHT: (two parts)
Part one NREM sleep - 80% of sleep period.
Temperature starts to lowers- body uses food taken in during the day to re nurture.

Part two REM sleep - 20% of later sleep period.
Temperature lowers through night sleep period - body temperature getting colder - emotion of fear prompts body to excrete out waste( mostly in REM sleep) - moves to excrete out waste - continues through night - peaks a few hours before waking.

Underweight person - too cold, always full - can't get waste out- anal personality, moves against waste within, main emotion fear - subconscious weaning pattern of 'can't get fid of waste

Since the US already has 4 different health systems

1) VA/Indian Health
2) Medicare and Medicaid
3) Employer/employee insurance access
4) Out of pocket

Why can't we choose one and get on with it?

And why don't we deal with the 'prices' that the health care industry charges for goods and services which are up to 10 times more than what we'd pay in any other developed country?

Because the "out-of-pocket" doesn't apply to those with bulging pockets - it's just the opposite. Those who are expected to pay their own way are - for one reason or another - incapable of doing so. But they and their families still get sick.

Why don't the get rid of the madness causing mandate, and move towards regulating the entire mess from the very top to bottom. EVERYTHING, but do so along with regulating the BANKING INDUSTRY ALONGSIDE IT.

if this healthcare reform bill is to our collective benefit--as i originally believed--then why dsshould anyoneone--or any organization be given a waiver?? ive read stories over the past few months of "socalled" waivers from this LAW--and today there is more news of "waivers":

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/seiu-locals-including-chicago-chapter-wa

If waivers are given--or even considered--it suggests to me that we have not been given the whole story. either the law is the law--for all---or there should not be such a law. am i wrong??

actually, the answer is no---and the query only addresses individuals & corporations--not the union that supported this law and are now looking for releif--temporary right now....but who knows if each waiver will be extended!

Sounds a bit like animal farm with some organizations (teachers unions) being MORE equal than others

This is more about new ideas than any specific question. New ideas suggest that breast feeding may be the key to both overweight and underweight problems.
The idea is that the lack of at least one year of breast feeding for infants is causing both overweight and underweight problems across the world.

Weaning sets up a food in and waste out pattern - probably in the ENS, Enteric Nervous System, that subconsciously programs us for our lives. If there is not enough breast milk before that weaning period - the infant will be 'hungry' from then on. He will move toward food and become overweight. The overriding emotion is Anger.
If the weaning is too soon such that the child's digestion system can't handle the new non-breast milk, solids, then the child will always be 'too full' (of food he can't yet digest) from then on. He will move away from food and become underweight. The overriding emotion is Fear.

This should be easy to test. Those with weight problems should be infants that were NOT breast fed for one year.
"Before 1900, most mothers breastfed their infants. Breastfeeding rates declined sharply worldwide after 1920, when evaporated cow's milk and infant formula became widely available. " - faqs.org

What effect would health care repeal have?
It will raise costs for working families:
Among other things, repeal would also prohibit people in hospice from getting aggressive care:
http://www.kaiserhealthnews.org/Stories/2010/May/10/Hospice.aspx
Repeal means 26 year olds get thrown off their parents' plans:
http://articles.cnn.com/2010-03-25/health/health.care.law.basics_1_health-insurance-high-risk-pool-health-care-reform?_s=PM:HEALTH
Repeal will allow insurance companies to once again get rid of sick policyholders:

"So far, the Obama administration has issued waivers to 222 entities, including businesses, unions and charitable organizations. Of that total, 45 were labor organizations.

A total of 1,507,418 enrollees are now included in the waivers. More than one-third -- 512,315 – of the enrollees affected were insured by union health plans."

"Universal" never means everyone is equal under the law. Those who don't cough up during elections have to pay for those who do.

Unfortunately, to call it health care reform is not accurate. It is health insurance industry reform. Health care reform would have invited single payer advocates to the discussions and let them present their strategies to both the WH and the American public. Removing the public option was proof enough that the reform aspect was nothing more than a far ce. Health care is unsustainable so long as the insurance industry is in the midst.

Why were doctors left out of all discussions and yet health insurance companies were given free access to the President with meetings at the White House ?
