Jeff Greene's Laurel Canyon Bachelor Pad

Via Curbed LA: This Laurel Canyon castle once belonged to billionaire real estate developer Jeff Greene. You may remember him from last year's senate primaries in Florida, where he ran (and lost) against Rep. Kendrick Meek (D). You might also remember him from tales of his epic yacht parties, which dogged him throughout the election season. Jeff Greene is one of the few people who got super rich (he was catapulted from "a millionaire to a billionaire") when the real estate bubble burst. Forbes reports that Greene is believed to be the first individual to "short real estate" by betting against the subprime mortgage market and investing in credit default swaps.

Now that Greene is a family man (his yacht played an important role in wooing his bride), he'll have no need for a bachelor pad with a 1,000 bottle wine cellar, "state-of-the-art" dance club, and two dog runs. Since the home is represented by realtor Josh Altman, a newbie on Bravo's Million Dollar Listing (new season starts February 1st), we could be seeing this home on the small screen soon.
