Kate Middleton Quits Her Day Job At Party Pieces

Kate Middleton Quits Her Day Job

Kate Middleton has quit her job to focus on wedding planning, the London Evening Standard writes. She worked as a website designer and photographer for her parents' Party Pieces site. Royal aides confirmed she stepped down on Friday, one saying, "She has handed over her work to colleagues and is now preparing for her future life."

Preparing for her nuptials might not be a far cry from Kate's previous day job. A friend told Hello! magazine, "Catherine is a naturally creative individual and has spent her professional life in the creative industries having worked at [fashion chain] Jigsaw, then as a website designer, photographer, marketer and events organiser. Skills she has built up in her working life translate naturally to organising a wedding."

It's unclear whether Kate will return to work after the wedding, however the Daily Mail reported in November that she "will not forge a role as a working princess immediately after she marries, fuelling speculation that she and Prince William plan to start a family straight away." We'll see, won't we?
