Olbermann Banned From TV In Exit Deal

Keith Olbermann is barred from returning to television for six to nine months, the New York Times reports.

The Times cites "several executives involved in his exit" in the report, written by Bill Carter and Brian Stelter. Olbermann is also barred from discussing his abrupt exit from MSNBC. His resignation was described as a "negotiated separation" by a source.

Carter and Stelter write that Olbermann had been making moves to leave MSNBC for months, including firing his longtime agent. He also reportedly had a bit of a falling out with Lawrence O'Donnell, who had been an ally of his, over a Twitter post O'Donnell wrote about President Obama's tax deal.
