Stephen Colbert To Address Northwestern's Class Of 2011

Stephen Colbert will send off the graduating class at Northwestern University this spring, North by Northwestern reports.

Colbert is no stranger to Northwestern; the comedian graduated from the university in 1986. He's previously addressed students at Knox College and Princeton University.

In speaking at Northwestern, Colbert may be fulfilling a lifelong dream. As he waxed faux-nostalgic to Knox graduates:

But the best reason for me to come to speak at Knox College is that I attended Knox College. This is part of my personal history that you will rarely see reported. Partly because the press doesn't do the proper research. But mostly because it is not true! I just made it up, so this moment would be more poignant for all of us. How great would it be if I could actually come back here -- if I was coming back to my alma mater to be honored like this.

So cool to know that Stephen is a alumni from Northwestern Univ. A real Chicago connection. I would love to attend that commencement in June.

Stephan doesn't need to address the graduating class of Northwestern. They are an extremely intelligent group. He needs to take his message to either Regent or Liberty colleges where is words are most needed.

That would be like reading The Great Gatsby to a spaniel. I mean, even if you get him to sit there the whole time, he's not gonna get much out of it. Just let him keep sniffing himself. It's all he knows.

You need to listen to Ted Kennedy's speech to Liberty in 1983. He was invited by Jerry Fawell, who thought it would be a tough crowd for Ted. It was on separation of church and state. Ted charmed them and got several ovations for a perfect argument:
