Mark Sanchez, Braylon Edwards Party All Night After Playoff Loss

First Posted: 01/25/11 10:58 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:25 PM ET

After the New York Jets were defeated by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship game on Sunday, Mark Sanchez and Braylon Edwards reportedly partied in New York City until early Monday morning.

According to the New York Post, Sanchez and Edwards, who partied all night after beating the New England Patriots in the Divisional round, "spent more than $2,500" at Chelsea's Juliet Supper Club.

Edwards arrived with six others at 2:30 a.m. after the flight back from Pittsburgh and Sanchez apparently didn't know that his receiver was already there.

The Jets quarterback was said to have been "chatting up the pretty bartender" while Edwards ordered tequila shots for his table.

Edwards reportedly went into the deejay booth and told the crowd that the Jets would be back next season.

A source told Page Six that the club "got all the players drivers" due to Edwards' DUI charge last September.

so they said the season is a failure if they don't reach the super bowl. champagne is for winners, you don't celebrate after a loss.. surprising they'd be in the mood to go out like that right after a the biggest loss of the year... i don't think jets fans were celebrating

That photo of Sanchez makes it look like his latest bugger launched out of his nose like the space shuttle.

I'm glad that the club took responsibility to get them cabs after a night of drinking. Some have never heard of such a concept.

Why is "Carried Interest" not taxed as Income?
06:37 AM on 01/26/2011
The NFL provides all players a car service number for them to call for "free of charge" car service to their home if they are out drinking at night.

Many seem not to have the sense to use it.

Yep. A couple of them down here in San Diego apparently didn't get the memo. And bunches elsewhere too. Million dollar career at stake, free car service and what? They don't want to have to go back and get their car in the morning? Sheesh.

Yes, I've heard that they have a car service available. Some refuse to use it. I'm not sure the reasoning behind it. A previous story, (maybe when Edwards got popped for DUI), that some players opt not to call for the service. The reasoning is that they may not want the team to know that they were drunk and unable to drive. If that is the case. I'm not in charge of their finances, but they should be able to hire a driver or take a cab.

Wow, I'm surprised. I thought it would have been Church and then a few hours helping out at a soup kitchen.

So many funny comments on this thread.
I get frustrated with HP, but always end up coming back. The creativity of the posters here is the reason.
