State Of The Union Address 2011 Time

President Barack Obama delivers the 2011 State of the Union Address tonight, beginning at 9 p.m. Eastern Time and 6 p.m. Pacific Time.

Obama's speech is expected to be about one hour in length based on previous years.

Last year's State of the Union from Obama was the first to hit the hour mark since 2000, clocking in at one hour and nine minutes. But the longest SOTU ever was in 2000, when President Bill Clinton's address spanned an hour and a half.

Obama is expected to focus on jobs, innovation and cooperation in the 2011 State of the Union Address. Here are a handful of predictions on what he might say from HuffPost blogger Chris Weigant.

Tonight's State of the Union Address can be watched LIVE on The Huffington Post. HuffPost will also have a State of the Union live blog, complete with real-time fact-checking in conjunction with the National Journal, the Center for Public Integrity and Sunlight Foundation. The Twitter hashtag #SOTUFacts will be used. The address can also be watched online at WhiteHouse.gov.

Will this year's SOTU be longer than last year's speech?

I think his speech would of been better if he just read the speech Charlie Chaplin gave at the end of his movie "The Great Dictator"
For those who don't know what I'm talking about.
You can see it on Youtube.
The best speech I ever heard given!
Its powerful!

A big key will be how Obama refers to the American people.
In most of his past speeches he has used the "they," which disassociates himself from being in close identity with us, the people who elected him.

He has seemed to consider himself not part of us.

Fellow Huffposts,

With Congress playing Rep-Dem-Rep-Dem seating, when Pres. Obama makes a statement worthy of applause, the Democrats will have better screen shots. The Republicans are not going to stand up or cheer, and that implies they do not care about out nation. Or whatever supportive writers may suggest.

Pres. Obama seems to be calculating everything for a reelection bid.
Not all good legislation, but Pres. Obama has a job after his term in office, having had made given a sweet deal to the giant pharmaceutical companies, or things we do not know of yet.

Middle of the road.
Pres. Obama still has that "reach across the isle" thingy going, and I do not expect that to change. Bringing both sides together for a common good(the constituency) sounds great, if you kid yourself into thinking the Republicans have been on board, and supportive of Pres. Obama.

It seems like Republicans do not care, and Democrats do not know.
I think all of the bullies(Republicans) and most the sissies(Democrats) are playing along and special interests will be sending the contribution(bribe).

It be it!

Is he making any new promises to break? I thought he already broke all of the old ones he made in the campaign. I loved all of those old promises, which is why I so eagerly voted for him. . I don't think there are any of his original ones left to break. Needs to make a new batch. What a disappointment.

He's got a lot more green than red going on.

And if you consider a compromise a broken promice, then you never read any of his books.

After we hear the Presidents sober take on our economy and how he will fix it, we will be amused listening to Michele (1 "L" for Loon). She is so entertaining. I look forward to her comments.
