Felicitaciones -- there's a new beautiful Spaniard in the world.

After Spanish newspaper El Pais reported that Penelope Cruz gave birth to husband Javier Bardem's child, Hola! Magazine in Spain followed up by revealing that the couple had a baby boy.

Cruz gave birth in Hollywood's Cedar-Sinai Medical Center -- mother and child are said to be healthy, and seeking privacy.

A fun Google translation of the newspaper's story said:

The first child of Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem was a child and came to earth on Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, United States. The small, which has not transcended his name, came into the world and the joy and excitement of their parents and loved by both families,

Another note of excitement for the pair on Tuesday: Bardem was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in the Mexican drama, 'Biutiful.'

Perhaps if the couple decides to send the child into show business, he will perform like Bardem did as a four year old on Spanish TV:

Can't wait for the name. Wonder if they will give him one of those bizarre names like "Atticus Flowerpounder" or "Meteor Showerpower"

"Meteor Showerpower" LOL what fudge??? nah I think they're going to give it a normal name

One can hope, it would be refreshing for someone to use a good old fashion normal name.

Why did she want to give birth in the U.S. as opposed to Spain? (I wonder)

Why didn't Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr give birth in the U.S. as opposed to Australia or England? (I wonder)

Hahahaha

Nice grammar. Cute.

Both seem like good people, congrats.

By the way, it's "felicitaciones", not "felicitationes".
It's a basic rule: words like interrogation, preparation, etc, in Spanish are spelled interrogaCIÓN, preparaCIÓN, etc.
Time to expand your multilingual skills, Huffpo.

FELICIDADES not "felicitaciones"....wow

I was commenting on the spelling. In Argentina we use both depending on the context.
