Sarah Palin: Todd Affair, 'Hooker' Rumors 'A Big Lie' (VIDEO)

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin recently denied an anonymous tabloid report that her husband, Todd, had been involved with a "massage therapist" who was running some sort of prostitution ring in Anchorage.

During an interview with Alaska-based radio program "The Bob and Mark Morning Show," she called the allegations, made in the National Enquirer, "a big lie" and "a waste of time" and said that she was somewhat disheartened by the apparent stream of false reports coming from people in the Frontier State.

"What hurts are the lies that come from Alaskans," she said responding to a question about how she felt about her low favorability ratings in her home state. "Look at this recent b.s. about Todd supposedly being all caught up in a prostitution ring in Anchorage."

Earlier this week, the Anchorage Police Department investigated the matter and exonerated Todd Palin, telling the New York Daily News that the Enquirer report about his involvement "was just guilt by innuendo, nothing else."

But Palin seemed miffed that the situation ended up having to be addressed by the authorities.

"Heck, all they had to do was ask me or ask Todd himself, 'Hey Todd, you been hanging out with hookers in Anchorage?' and he'd tell the truth," Palin said.

Regardless of where one stands politically, I am disgusted with the way women are being portrayed and dealt with in campaigning for office. When men run for office, they either hide or weather affairs, homosexual liaisons, and pornographic 'moments', but women are met with sordid remarks about their appearance, weight, body weight, etc and their mothering skills, and husband's behavior are scrutinized beyond belief. I am not making light of immoral conduct in candidates, far from it, but i also am fed up with the only things we hear about Palin, Bachmann, or conversely Hilary Clinton, about their hair, husbands, or what some pervert 'feels' when they are attractive, or what some nightmare feels when they are not. Let's judge them and every other candidate on merit, ideas, and skill.

Is Palin a candidate for something? I thought she quit public service a while back. She's nothing more than a fluff celebrity. The others you mentioned not withstanding, I think Palin is not more Snooki and less politician, and is treated as such by some media outlets. Though I'd vote for Snooki any day before Palin. She's more aware of her own vacancy.

It's a two way street, most of Palin's male supporters can't help but mention how hot they think she is. Palin capitalizes on that, yet she talks about sexism. It's very unappealing to hear a conservative woman talk like that. I don't approve of woman who say they are conservative, yet raise their families like a liberal by letting others raise their children. It demented, Palin should be rejected, but the problem is, so many of her male supporters are so infatued with her. And it's really not the way she looks, it's the way she markets herself. She is an outrageous flirt. There are other woman out there better looking then Palin who don't get a bunch of people lusting after them, why? Because they don't get ahead using their looks, they get ahead by what they know. Palin very clearly sends the message that she is getting ahead by her looks. It's a big part of her appeal, and a big reason why she is so divisive. It is unseemingly for someone who says they are a Christian to do what Palin does.

The fact that Palin's husband was not caught red-handed doesn't clear him. This was not some high end prostitution ring where records were kept. Unless they actually caught him in the act, they wouldn't know if Todd was invovled. For them to speak out and try to make it seem like he is in the clear, when there is no way they could ever know, to me tells me someone is pulling their strings. I think it would have been more appropriate for them to make no comments. I seriously doubt that people can just make up outright lies in this day of litigation. He is in some way connected to this, even if he really just went in for a message. Clearly, the authorities are going into over-drive to protect the Palin's. It doesn't seem right, because the fact is, they really don't know.
