Armie Hammer, Leonardo DiCaprio In 'J. Edgar': 'Lots Of Kissing Scenes'

Leonardo DiCaprio's latest on-screen love is a little bit different than the ones from his previous movies.

DiCaprio is set to star in director Clint Eastwood's film 'J. Edgar,' a biopic about original, controversial FBI director J. Edgar Hoover, and because it is a longtime rumor that Hoover was a closeted homosexual and cross-dresser, DiCaprio will be taking on that part of the role, as well. But who will he be kissing?

Armie Hammer, 'The Social Network' star who joined the cast as Clyde Toulson, Hoover's Associate Director of the FBI and rumored lover, spoke about the kissing scenes at the SAG Awards.

"It's not a kissing scene--it's a ton of kissing scenes," he told E! Online.

Speaking earlier in January about his role, Hammer told Collider that there will be some heavy makeup involved:

"I'm playing Toulson up to his elderly age!" he said. "Makeup stuff comes within the next couple weeks. We're definitely doing a lot of wardrobe stuff right now, but the makeup stuff we haven't done yet."

That's ridiculous; you hate someone you've never met, know nothing about, just because of who he may be related to?

Armie Hammer is his great-grandson; if you're going to hate someone because of who they are related to, especially since his great-grandson had no control over anything, then you probably hate a lot of people, which is a sad way to live. And from everything I've heard of the guy, he is well respected in his industry, well-liked, and considered a nice guy by the press. To slam him here for something that happened before he was born (he's only 24) is just mind boggling.

I'm surprised that a respected director like Eastwood would make a movie about unproven gossip. There is a fascinating movie to be made about Hoover, but kissing scenes? Not that I would mind seeing Leo and Armie in liplocks, but there has never been a shred of concrete evidence that Hoover and Toulson were lovers. So clearly this means that someone could make a movie about Eastwood's personal life using the lowest form of secondhand innuendo as the basis. And he should have no problem with it.

J. Edgar Hoover was one of the physically most unattractive men who ever lived, in my opinion. Mr. DiCaprio has his work cut out for him just on becoming the physical embodiment of Hoover. But, as a gay man, at least while watching the movie, he will be easier on the eyes than someone who was an actual match.
