More than 30 states are dealing with serious snow fall at the moment, and in Chicago--it's blizzard-mania.

After the third largest snowstorm in the city's history, people are digging out, sharing photos and trying to figure out how to get to work. But last night's blizzard was intense. High winds, blowing snow and to the surprise of the Weather Channel's Jim Cantore--thunder.

Thundersnow was plentiful last night in Chicago. Read more about the storm on our live blog, check out storm photos here and watch Cantore freak out about thundersnow below.

Is this guy mentally challenged? He needs to get a grip. It wasn't that monumental that he needed to go into all the wacky histrionics. Maybe if a UFO showed up in the sky, that reaction would be warranted. This was just asinine.

He definitely adds drama to weather reporting.

Wow, and they call this news?Watching a weathermens reaction to thunder, who knew the camera was rolling.Media in america, let's keep their minds off of the things that rally matter here.Let's keep throwing dumb little news stories out there to keep the herd from focusing on what really is in important.Like our government being owned by corporations. Our media being owned by corporations. How these corporations helped close down 46,400 manufacturing plants from 2002-2009.How corporations laid of over 2 million people in the last 2 years. How in 1990,ceos of the top 500 cos.made 84 times more then their employees. How in 1999,the same ceos made 416 more then their employees.Let's keep rewarding these mega-rich people that have brought this country this fine recession WE are in,not them, they prospered! Why don't we wake up and find someone of the people, voted in by the people who works for the people.Just my 2 cents.

Give the guy a break. This is a once in a lifetime thing for him. He'll tell his grandkids about that time he was in Chicago and he said Holy Smoke on camera.

Great vid, but there is another guy in Chicago doing some cool things with weather video too...

He is taking all your videos, stories and pics and turning them into a movie, made by Chicagoans, real cool concept these days. Here's his YouTube video (no this is not mine, just good stuff).

Thought maybe you guys down there at HP might be interested in this one too...

That's a great reaction! It was a freaky storm to experience from indoors!

Exactly! I found his reaction real; he seems genuinely excited. Wonder if he needed a change of snowpants??!! :-)

LOL Definitely. I think he might be the only weather reporter that would react like that.

I could see any other just looking around casually and saying "wow. just wow. what a storm this is.". Then continue the interview.

This guy immediately discards the interview and acts as if he just scored the winning touchdown in the super bowl for his favorite team. Which would be DA Bearsssss.

I saw flashes of lightning and heard thunder a few times on Tuesday night as was surprised about it happening during a snow storm. It is quite unusual.
01:54 AM on 02/03/2011
LOL! I didn't notice any thunder out here, but some of the wind sure sounded close to thunder. Maybe it was. I probably would have reacted the same way.

Flip-Out is a strong word to use.

I think that he was just excited. He was out in the elements in his element. He was just taking it all in.

Yeah, he was very excited to be witnessing this very unusual atmospheric event. It's rare to see lightning and hear thunder during a snow storm and he knew that and appreciated that fact. I don't think he flipped out at all.
