For the second time in as many weeks, a Colorado Springs Chihuahua is in the news.
Last week, a firefighter saved the life of a local Chihuahua by administering CPR. This week, the story is not so uplifting.
Surveillance video from a Colorado Springs 7-11 gas station shows a tiny Chihuahua puppy being thrown from an SUV and abandoned. The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region Animal Services posted a Youtube video of the incident (viewable below), which shows a large SUV pulling into a parking spot before the driver's door opens and the tiny dog is tossed out. The SUV then pulls away, with the puppy briefly chasing after it before a bystander retrieved it.
The incident happened at about 6:45 pm. on Jan. 29.
The Humane Society is asking anyone with information about the information to call 719-473-1741. The puppy is currently living at a foster home.
