Green Bay Packers' Charles Woodson Breaks Collarbone In Super Bowl: Star Cornerback Misses Rest Of Win

Packers' Star Woodson Breaks Collarbone

A ring for his finger, a sling for his shoulder -- Green Bay Packers' Pro Bowl cornerback Charles Woodson broke his collarbone during the Packers' 31-25 Super Bowl victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Michigan alum and 1997 Heisman Trophy winner confirmed that he hurt himself in the second quarter of the game and during halftime, intended on going back on the field until he discovered he had broken the bone.

Woodson choked up during a speech to his teammates in the locker room, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the Super Bowl MVP, said that Woodson told him to "finish this thing off."

Rodgers and his teammates did just that. After the game, Woodson told ESPN's Adam Schefter, "I'm a champion. It doesn't matter."
