Paulina Porizkova: I Can't Get Tickets To Fashion Shows

Oh, to be Paulina Porizkova! The outspoken model can't score tickets to Fashion Week, according to Page Six. She told the gossip column that she hasn't been to a show in two years and, "Ever since then, I haven't bothered to try. But sitting in front of the stage watching the girls is too hard to watch. It's like actors watching other actors work -- you either get jealous, or you get mortified for them."

However, it's not like Paulina hasn't been keeping busy. She appeared on "Oprah" last week and told the talk show diva, "Nothing ages as poorly as a beautiful woman's ego. Every time a guy passes by me and I've made an effort and he doesn't take a second look, it hurts a little bit. [....] You forget to remember that aging is privilege and not a birthright." And she's featured in Modelinia's "History of Models," which premieres Thursday.

Ha this is great....I have the same problem. I either can't get tickets or can't go because of my busy schedule. And I'm trying to go to baseball and basketball games, not fashion shows!! Poor Paulina! Haha. Maybe she should do what I did and get TV Everywhere. I work for DISH Network and just got the SlingLoaded technology for my 922 receiver and iPhone. Paulina REALLY needs to stop hitting on stupid men. Perhaps she is only looking for attention from model boys who are full up on skinny 16-year-olds. Any other normal man would notice her pretty quickly.

I usually enjoy Paulina's writing, but she actually said this?: "You forget to remember that aging is privilege and not a birthright."

Aging is a process of nature, like it or not. Along with death, it is the only birthright. It may be for a long time or only a short while, but everything ages.

Wow, Hank, did you ever miss the point of her comment!! I guess that's why she has millions of fans and you have only 496! Aging is definitely not a birthright! There are countries where life expectancy is only 40 years. Children's hospitals are full of children who will never have the privilege of aging. The streets are full of people who won't make it past their crime-ridden youth! But of course you may have, or have had, the privilege of aging, however poorly it manifests itself insofar as wisdom is concerned.

Paulina has to move past her midlife crisis and write some more funny schtuff. She's good at it. But enough already with losing her looks, which she NEVER will. She's too gorgeous.

Love her writing, hope to see more of it. She's delightfully self-effacing and she doesn't have to diss her looks to do that.
