Nikki Haley Affair Rumors Resurface As Blogger Alleges Steamy Encounter In New 'Tome Of Love'

Rumors about an alleged 2007 affair between newly elected South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and Will Folks, a political blogger and former campaign staffer, are resurfacing Monday, with the website FITSNews releasing excerpts written by Folks, the website's founder, supposedly detailing the salacious details of the liaison.

Here's a particularly graphic block from Folks' upcoming "tome of love":

We never took our clothes off that first night, but the physical relationship between us progressed much faster than I expected. After sliding the front seats of her SUV as far back as they would go, Nikki climbed on top of me - rubbing her crotch back and forth over the growing bulge in my pants while I groped her ass and ran my hands through her hair and up and down her back.

Folks first declared the purported infidelity last May, claiming that Haley had cheated on her husband of 14 years by engaging in an "inappropriate physical relationship" with him years before.

Haley repeatedly and vehemently denied that such a relationship ever took place, even in the face of periodic disbursements of evidence that, according to Folks, proved that the two had engaged in an affair. In one such document release, Folks provided a lengthy list of phone records between him and Haley, which her campaign explained sarcastically as a "mind-blowing revelation" considering Folks' position as a campaign adviser.

Despite the allegations, however, Folks ended up endorsing Haley's candidacy for governor, though now he appears to want to put the spotlight back on his accusations. The governor, then a candidate, promised last summer that she would resign if any of Folks' claims proved valid.

Sounds like she was cheating. South Carolina is not know for electing the best politicians. So when is she going to resign. Maybe he needs to announce that she has a tattoo of Reagan on her nether region.

I agree, it is a shame that HuffPo is focusing on this small part of the Haley story. Tjhe hypocrisy iceberg floating around her is much bigger and more deserving of media attention. The 49% of us here who did not vote for this Mark Sanford protege know she is using this state to elevate her Palinesque rise to the national stage and will leave SC (and the Tea Partying, stuck-in-the-past Rebel yellin' voters who put her in office) standing on soil scorched far worse than anything William T Sherman could stick a match to.

FWIW, however, this "affair" story(s) has never gone away. Both men(remember the lobbyist who came forward?) submitted sworn affadavits and appear determined to "clear their names". She can sue for libel anytime if she wants to put these stories to rest. Folks,the Libertarian blogger, has never proclaimed to be a gentleman(and, indeed, has stated he's not) but those around Columbia who know him say lying has never been his style. So expect more on this one.

I do know Folks and he is a liar. I've met him and I have several acquaintances in common with him. This whole thing is because he could not get another politician who he was working for to get his domestic violence case dropped. He is a legend in his own mind when it comes to associations with the opposite sex. Check out his blog if you don't believe me. He has nothing to lose by bringing down Nikki Haley. He aspires to be a male gold-digger.

I think she is attractive, intelligent, and articulate and I wish her well in her role as Governor. The sex thing may have happened but that should be behind her. Heck, we let the Kennedys and Bill Clinton off of the hook, so get over it and move on.

Those times have changed and now we , a wiser, smarter, constituency, refuse to be lied to and used for their gain........that goes for all of them....regardless of parties......none worse than South Carolins's former governor and his "soulmate"........I have no problem with you excusing her behavior and lies.....just don't go after "christian values"..."family values"....etc....as your reason for voting for the person.......I would rather vote honestly someone who banks on their personal government record alone than tell me what great family values they have and what conservative christians they are.......that I don't trust.
