Denver Church-Turned $2.3 Million Luxe Home (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 02/09/11 01:01 PM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 07:30 PM ET

A former Catholic church in Cherry Creek North has been converted into a large luxuriously home priced at just under $2.3 million. Pews not included.

Featuring over 5,300 square feet, the home is made from red brick with several giant stained-glass windows set in 35-foot vaulted ceilings and a mezzanine for the master bedroom, bath and laundry room. A solid 3-story marble staircase leads the way downstairs where there is a living room fire place, large brick kitchen and even a wine cellar.

Would you live in a former church? Let us know in the comment section below.

Now this I like. Open, bright, airy, and for once appropriately furnished. I'd feel really awkward having the secks in there through. Talk about feeling like you're being watched.

I agree about the overall look, etc. This is a very well put together place.

I would adore living in this home. The windows are gorgeous. The house is just full of light and I bet it feels fresh in there...

I watched the renovation and it's fantastic! Of course I'd live in a church, god never lived there.

But if you turn a bathtub into a shrine, Mary will visit!

Heck yeah! That place is sweet!

I lived in the duplex directly next to this construction for 2 years [that's how long it took]. It sits on a main thoroughfare for emergency vehicles and huge volumes of traffic. I wouldn't give the $1400/month in rent I paid to live on that street again, much less $2.3 million.

Great, now I don't have to wait to move into God's house. Now I just need the $2.3 Mil and money for upkeep.

The stain glass alone makes this house awesome!

I have stained carpets. Does that count?
