First Posted: 02/10/11 08:14 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 07:30 PM ET

With an increasing number of travelers citing "unique experiences" as a deciding factor in trip planning, hotels are responding by offering elaborate packages for Valentine's Day and other romantic travels.

With price tags ranging from $1,700 to over $5 million, these ridiculously luxe trips should get the home fires re-kindled and the bank accounts dwindled.

Remember, it isn't TRUE love unless a private plane is involved.

Our friends over at Fodors put together this list of over-the-top romantic getaways for the inner billionaire in us all.

Been on a ridiculously over-the-top romantic getaway? Share it in the comments below or add a photo of your trip.

Is the Sedona (#2) price too low? Because that seems almost to reasonable, especially compared to the other packages on the list.

We stayed at PSV and loved it. the middle Grenadines have fabulous beaches and most are undeveloped and pristine. The rooms at PSV are private bungalows spread out around a small private island and you can always have a divine beach all to yourself. amazing snorkeling too. The food is pretty good but not great, but much has to be flown in and the fresh fish is perfect. Perfect for beach bums who can afford it.

It sure doesn't buy happiness. Some of our angriest citizens are extremely wealthy. Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck come to mind.

Nature is free. You just need a place to rest your head and eat.
