Tahrir Square LIVE Video: Cairo Reacts As Mubarak Resigns

First Posted: 02/11/11 12:28 PM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 07:30 PM ET

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has stepped down, prompting celebrations throughout Cairo and Egypt: fireworks, chants, car horns, flags waving, cameras flashing and more.

The heart of the movement, and protests the last 18 days, is Tahrir Square -- Liberation Square in English -- and you can watch live video from there below.

Said CNN's Ben Wedeman around 7:30 p.m. local time (12:30 p.m. Eastern time): "I think everyone in Egypt is either in or coming to #Tahrir."

Watch live video below and you can also follow the latest news with our live blog here and learn more about developments the last few weeks with our Egypt revolution guide.

Don't physically harm the Mubareks, just cease their assets and use it to create jobs in Egypt.

Remember the saying to do unto others as you would have others to do unto you.
Well in the Urantia it goes, as you would have the Father in heaven, forgive your tresspasses, you must find a heart to forgive your fellow man to be accepted in the kingdom.

Don't be bound by vengeance, let him go in peace. Keep an eye on him, but let him and his family go in peace.
He has taken in refugees in all tis mess, in Egypt.

Thank you HuffPost for allowing us to share in the celebration with our brothers and sisters in Egypt. I have been watching the escalating situation since it began, and your coverage has been great. I really appreciate being informed this way - no sensationalism, just news and views.

Wow. This is truly an historic moment.

Anything that can be done to help rebuild this great nation should be done. We at Water Charity will be looking to continue assisting in providing clean water for the people of Egypt as well.
