In the first half of Napoli's 2-0 win over Roma on Saturday, Roma's Aleandro Rosi got into a scuffle with Ezequiel Lavezzi and spat on him.
After the match, Rosi explained the incident and said not to place the blame entirely on him because Lavezzi provoked him.
"Lavezzi elbowed me when we were off the ball and from there it all escalated," Rosi claimed. "He got angry and so did I. The referee didn't spot it, as he was very sneaky to elbow me like that and he knows it."
Rosi went on to admit that he "spat in his general direction," but not in the face.
