The Axis Of Awesome: How To Write A Love Song (VIDEO)

You may remember the talented musical comedy group The Axis Of Awesome from their "Four Chord Song" we posted last year. Well, they also have a hilarious song that's perfect for Valentine's Day, a take-down of cliched R&B love songs appropriately called "How To Write A Love Song."

Just like the "Four Chord Song" which proved every pop song is essentially the same, this parody tune shows how breathless back-up singers, meaningless bridges and more create the archetypal love ballad. Check out the music video they made for Funny Or Die below, complete with all the rose petals and white blazers you can handle.

Monty Python's Spamalot has a song satirizing Broadway musicals, in particular Andrew Lloyd Weber, called "The Song That Goes Like This". Similar idea to "How to Write a Love Song" and both are brilliant put down's of trite, lazy, by the numbers swill that passes for creative expression. Bravo!

Easy stuff....Pull a "reverse Cartman" on it...Find a hymn or chant with lots of Jesus' in them. Next change all the Jesus' to "Babies"...Thats what Justin Beiber does...
