Dumb Friends League Offering Valentine's Deal

It's the perfect week to adopt that cat or dog you've been waiting for. Through the week, Denver Dumb Friends League is offering $14 adoptions for dogs and cats that are at least one year old. The fee includes spay or neuter surgery, initial vaccinations, microchipping and a free office visit with a participating vet.

On average, the Dumb Friends League takes in 68 pets per day between the two shelters, the Quebec Street shelter and the Buddy Center in Castle Rock. These animals need homes, especially the adults. There are almost 900 animals in the care of the Dumb Friends League, which is a huge increase from last year.

"We're reducing adoption fees for all adult cats and dogs because we would rather see more pets in loving homes than in a shelter," says Bob Rohde, president and CEO. "And, now more than ever, we need people to adopt their next furry family member."

The reduced fee lasts through this Friday, the 18th.
