Chicago is home to some of the most respected chefs in the world. Whether you're into greasy spoons or Michelin-rated fine dining establishments, we have options for all--including the more adventurous foodie.

The Travel Channel's Andrew Zimmern might go beyond the "adventurous foodie" title. He has traveled the world and eaten some cringe-inducing things. On Tuesday night, Chicago restaurants get the Zimmern treatment.

The Chicago episode of "Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern" airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. central time--and features some places you might know and love. The episode originally aired in the fall, so those who missed it then can get up to speed on the city's weird food options.

Zimmern will check out George's Kabab Grill in Albany Park, Gene's Sausage on Belmont, Rick Bayless' beloved XOCO, Franks 'N' Dawgs, the Maxwell Street Market, Mado, Graham Elliot and Alinea. He'll be eating everything from Elliot's "foielipops" to Mado's head cheese.

Check out a clip from tonight's show here.

I've had the "foielipops." Bizarre is a good adjective for them.
