Olli Jokinen scored a goal and recorded three assists in the first 20 minutes. But as time was running out in the opening period, Colorado Avalanche center Philippe Dupuis made a dirty play, nailing Jokinen with a knee-on-knee hit and sending him to the ground. Dupuis received a 5-minute major and was ejected from the game. Jokinen returned for the second period, but after six shifts, the Flames center left the game for good with a "lower body injury."
