Eagles Pressured Vick To Cancel Oprah Appearance: Report (VIDEO)

Did Eagles Pressure Vick To Cancel Oprah Appearance?

UPDATE: The Philadelphia Eagles denied having something to do with Michael Vick's decision to cancel his interview on Oprah. A team spokesman told the Philadelphia Sports Daily that the report is "not true."

Michael Vick canceled his appearance on Oprah on Wednesday, which was scheduled for Thursday, February 24. A spokesman for Harpo Productions said Vick canceled for personal reasons, but Fox 29 in Philadelphia reported that the Philadelphia Eagles had something to do with it.

According to the report, the Eagles "voiced objections" to the quarterback's Oprah appearance.

Vick released a statement on Wednesday, saying he needs to postpone the taping and he hopes "to be able to participate in an interview in the future."

The interview was supposed to cover Vick's time in prison, his return to the NFL and his work with the Humane Society.
