What would Donatella say? Versace muse January Jones stepped out to the Los Angeles premiere of "Unknown" on Wednesday night in a stunning Alexander McQueen dress. She paired the embellished and buttoned frock with dramatic makeup and hair for the full "I'm not actually Betty Draper" feel.

Yeah, I don't think this dress is "chic" at all. She looks like she's wearing a slip cover for a sofa, with a nautical or military theme. It's a navy dress, with black heels. Yuck. Louboutins were an unfortunate choice. I wouldn't have worn this dress, but if I were forced to (at g.un point) I might wear a pair of gold strappy sandals...combat boots might also work with this particular dress. It's an odd combination, with the gold beading and the weird military table cloth-cut, slicing her boobs in half. Gag me with a salvation army pea coat. Ick.

Are you joking? It looks half done. It looks like she had this dress commissioned, and they only got half-way through the beading process, and found some random piece of wool, wrapped it around the dress maker's dummy, cut, ran it through the sewing machine, realized it looked terrible and sewed nautical buttons along the seam to distract from the shoddy fit. The fabric on the bodice is lumpy and makes her look lopsided and matronly. No way is this "chic." It looks like thrown together, left over scraps, from a production of the Pirates of Penzance.

Great dress, but she's a little too short for that full skirt and has tried to compensate with ginormous heels. Just shorten the skirt or put the dress on Nicole Kidman.
