Michael Emerson, JJ Abrams: 'Person Of Interest' Reunion

'LOST' Star, Producer Teaming Up Again

There's no island involved, but Michael Emerson is about to get mysterious again -- for JJ Abrams.

The "LOST" star, who played the dark and malicious Ben Linus on the legendary TV series, has been cast in one of Abrams' several new pilots, a crime-fighting show called "Person of Interest." And Emerson has perhaps the most interesting role.

According to Deadline.com, Emerson will play a mysterious billionaire who helps an ex-CIA agent, presumed dead, to fight crime in New York City. Ironically, this role comes about because another Emerson and Abrams project, a show pilot called "Odd Jobs," has been pushed back.

On Tuesday night, Emerson guest starred on the NBC show "Parenthood," as a bug guru with Asperger's Syndrome.

As for Abrams, he's helming the mysterious film "Super 8,", and has other TV projects currently in production.
