Claude Terrell Arrested: Former Rams Guard Charged With Kidnapping, Sexual Assault

GALVESTON, Texas — Former St. Louis Rams guard Claude Terrell (teh-REHL') has been charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault and burglary charges in connection with an alleged Valentine's Day attack in Texas.

Terrell is being held at the Galveston County Jail on $600,000 bond.

Electronic jail records do not list a lawyer for Terrell, who was arrested Monday night in Houston.

Police say a woman was attacked over the course of several hours Monday at her home in Texas City. Capt. Brian Goetschius (GOT'-chus) says the woman claims Terrell flashed a gun.

Terrell was cut by the Rams in 2007 after being charged with assaulting his then-wife. Police say Terrell was charged with family violence assault in November.

To stay competitive in football you have to take steroids. Unfortunately steroids bring out a destructive rage. In 2006 Terrell was arrested for assault, in 2007 he was arrested for assaulting his wife. It was reported that she said his steroid use caused him to attack her. Steroids and gun use are a dangerous mix, his victim is lucky to be alive.

how is it shocking if he's already be charged with this crime numerous times.

it's really too bad that the US-prisons are so hellish. i have personally know friends and families with troubled relatives. and who become more and more a danger to themselves and others. and realize that some form of involuntary incarceration would likely benefit the person with the problems. but then, no one want to send someone they care about to a filthy, overcrowded, violent prison.

Drugs of some kind were most likely involved. I hope the woman does get justice. Something tells me she will refuse to press charges and settle out of court with a gag order. Money trumps trial & she would feel safer.
