Kayakers Photograph "Bownessie," England's Loch Ness Monster?

Did Kayakers Photograph England's Lochness Monster?

Bownessie, the monster of Lake Windermere, may have finally been photographed.

Naturally, the image is a bit fuzzy. Tom Pickles, 24, and Sarah Harrington, 23, snapped the shot with a cell phone while kayaking on the lake, according to the Daily Mail.

From the Daily Mail:

'I thought it was a dog,' said Tom. 'Then I realised it was much bigger and moving really quickly. Each hump was moving in a rippling motion and it was swimming fast. I could tell it was much bigger underneath from the huge shadow around it.

'Its skin was like a seal's but its shape was abnormal - it's not like any animal I've ever seen before. We saw it for about 20 seconds. It was petrifying. We paddled back to the shore straight away.'

Experts say the image is authentic, but the file size is too small to tell if it was altered. Then again, no one knows if this is actually a monster or something else.

The picture is conjuring memories of the classic Loch Ness monster photograph.

So is it the real thing?
