Pizza Delivery Hero: Susan Guy Saves Elderly Woman, Jean Wilson

Pizza Delivery Hero

First Posted: 02/22/11 02:40 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:35 PM ET

Memphis woman Jean Wilson is a creature of habit. The 82-year-old has ordered a pepperoni pizza from her local Dominoes every single day for three years.

When they hadn't heard from her in three days, WMC-TV News reports the Dominoes employees were considered about Wilson.

Delivery driver Susan Guy went to go check on her. When there was no answer at the door or windows, Guy called 911.

As it turns out, Wilson had fallen and couldn't get up. She was lucky to have her pizza delivery hero come to her rescue.

Beer too. Every time I turn around, there's a new thing beer does for the good of the world. I don't drink anymore, but I continue to support all of the great humanitarian work done by beer and pizza.

Sir

Yes, it was wonderful that the pizza lady took action.

More important, however, is why did none of the neighbors bother to check up on the elderly lady?

Sincerely, Derek Lantin. http://dereklantin.booksabuzz.com

Dominos pizza every day! I think you should put her on a suicide watch.

A local newspaper carrier saved an elderly man's life the same way, calling police to check on him after noticing three days' worth of newspapers still lying in the yard. When the police checked, the man had fallen inside his home and couldn't get up.

"the Dominoes employees were considered about Wilson."
You mean 'concerned'.
Yeah, #1 priority is Quality Assurance. Your website looks trashy when you use the wrong words.

Also, the company is not "Dominoes", it's "Domino's". It's a shame that they don't proofread.

How she survived 3 years on D pizza is the real story.

How nice that the pizza staff cared enough to check on her!

Oh, I get it. The number "3" is the clue to solving this mystery. Because the lady ordered pizza every day for "3" years, the pizza parlor decided to wait "3" days when they hadn't received a pizza order before going to check on her. Ok. That makes sense.

Customer Consistency: I'm in good shape b/c SBUKS knows to come looking for me if I'm not lined up for my green tea latte. All the more reason, to continue going in every day! Couldn't ask for a better excuse!

What exactly does it mean to be considered about someone?

I'm kinda confused here though if she ordered every day for three years and then missed it for three days wouldn't they have checked earlier????

Sounds like she was laying there for three days. too tired to do the audio so maybe i'm wrong.

Hey, wake up. I waited and listened to the audio. You're right. They flatlined and let the lady lie in the floor for 3 days before going to her aid, even though she ordered pizza Every Day for 3 years. Tardy hero is more like it, but hero nevertheless. They should give the lady free pizza for a month for letting her lie there like that. Poor soul.

Ugh, but it's Dominos. Gotta take points away for that.

I thought maybe all that pepperoni pizza killed her.

All joking aside, I'm glad she was found and will be okay.
