"It was just time for a change. We had a blast doing it. And we've always liked this haircut. It's about keeping things simple. The way Celine and Calvin Klein and Jil Sander and all these clothing lines are keeping it really simple and chic. I really feel that fashion right now. All the styles are back to when I first started doing hair. And I love it."

Shave it, Jen, I did it two years ago and never looked back.

I've been saying for weeks -- her recent photos made her look like that crazy Kim woman from Atlanta.

Ha. She wishes she was a real housewife. Nope. Just her and her dogs.

(cue Jennifer supporters, enter here and defend her)

( Oh you meanie hater you! Jen-Jen's the bestest actress ever and deserves every Oscar there ever was, and the Nobel prize, and, and Oh I just loooove her!)
They do get a bit nauseating don't they?

I am not here to defend her specifically, but I don't see anything wrong with being the crazy dog lady. There are plenty of us who are fulfulled and happy without children and husbands and all that stuff.

EXACTLY. I'll take stability & my dogs over a bad marriage and unpredictable kids.

(cue all the "I love my spouse more than life" and "all children are a blessing/my kid saved me" comments here).

I'm glad she cut it. Don't get me wrong---I love long hair, but hers was starting to look a bit cliched and draggy. The shorter length on her is more perky, youthful, and reveals more personality, which was previously hidden beneath the hair. Also, less hair places more emphasis on her best feature, her eyes.

Jen, don't worry. No one will mistake you for a Real Housewife. Okay, let the mean comments on my statement begin, LOL!

I took your statement as a compliment towards here. She does not pile on garish makeup, look like a plastic surgery victim, wear tawdry clothing, or get in tasteless public fights. Ergo, no one SHOULD mistake her for any of the freak shows on the Real Housewife shows.

Baloney. Jen is so much above that look, huh? Aniston famously has done everything in her power to look like a California blonde and erase anything remotely highlighting her Greek beauty.
11:19 AM on 02/24/2011
No, she didn't REALLY want the nose job, but she had to, because of the whole "deviated septum" thing.
*rolls eyes*

Tenley--so true! Jennifer has effectively run away from who she is. She cut ties with her mother and started eliminating her Greek look. Her hair naturally dark brown (a pretty shade) and wavy. Her nose was naturally larger. And her face was round and healthy, until she starved herself down to a size zero and left harsh angular lines around her jaw that have to be covered by her now-blond, stringy hair.

Apparently, considering that she had this exact same haircut five years ago.
07:44 AM on 02/24/2011
It does look pretty in those pics. I loved it long, but I totally agree that ratty extensions have had their day. I'm so tired of those long tousled hairstyles that take 3 hours with a curling iron to reproduce. Even longer styles on the runway are looking more natural, which is good news for those of us who can't afford a personal hairstylist.

I made a within-the-rules comment about this that never posted. Hm. The censors were busy last night I guess.

FWIW:

This is a boring haircut. It's vanilla. It's not that interesting in and of itself and, within the context of her hair history, it is truly a non-event. No offense to Jennifer Anniston meant, but gee willikers, Sparky...!

So I ask, HP community, which recent haircut fascinates you beyond words these days:

1. Jennifer Anniston's

2. Justin Bieber's

3. Fluffy's (this would be the neighbor's dog)

Take your pick, and choose with all due seriousness...

No matter what JA does you are going to call it boring and vanilla. There's nothing boring or vanilla about her haircut or about her. She's normal and healthy and if that looks like vanilla and boring to you, I'm sorry for you.

there's nothing exciting about that haircut. She's catching up with a trend almost all women have been doing for the last 5 years now, which is quickly going back out. I mean, its a nice cut, but nothing special lets not exaggerate.

Why? Maybe so she'd look more like a grownup than a teenager. (Really, though, I think she has sad issues to deal with, poor thing.)

She has dealt with horrific betrayal and enormous heartbreak played out before the world with dignity and grace. I admire her very much. She is an example, especially for young women. She is clearly very spiritual. Your phony sympathy is mean. Put a little love in your heart.

Wah, wah, wah.
Oh the horror of it! She's the only woman EVER in history to get dumped. Sometimes we forget how tragic it was to tell someone," I love you, I want kids, but only when I feel like it, because I want a career, so hush now, I'm famous."
No wonder he walked.
She's about as spiritual as a Krispy Kreme, and about as meaningful.
Put a little sense in your head. Soppy sentimentality over a so-so actress that should have stayed in TV is so pre-teen.

Hmm, yes, you really are so "sorry" aren't you? As if you would know whether this actress has a "real life" or not...Your petty jealousy is obvious, and pathetic.

Perhaps KK should have said DO a better job.
Of acting, proving she's at all relevant to ANYTHING, or even worth any fuss. Jeez... Didn't any of you adoring little twerps ever get out of teenybopperhood?

You just made my day, your right she has a great job, she just doesn't do a great job at her job, acting, in fact she is a C- actress. Given all that, she is very good at one thing, keeping the body looking reat and shopping.
