Donation Jar For Toddler Bree Haga's Cancer Fund Stolen, Police Search For Suspect

Donation Jar For Toddler's Cancer Fund Stolen

A small donation jar for a toddler with brain cancer was stolen from a South Carolina convenience store on Monday, reports WSPA.

The donations were for 19-month-old Bree Haga who has been battling a brain tumor for seven months. Her doctors say that she has a 20 percent chance of survival.

Susan Guy, the toddler's grandmother, said she felt more pity than anger when she found out about the theft.

"Anyone that could steal a jar with any baby's picture on it who's fighting for her life -- thats very sad."

Haga's family has relocated to St. Jude's Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. as she fights for her life.

Family friend Jennifer Reeves described the toddler's family as barely able to make ends meet, but they are thankful for any support they receive.

"They've been without any income... With the help of the community, strangers, and friends, they have survived seven months."
