Pre-Oscar Parties Around Town: A Roundup (PHOTOS)

At the "Pieces of Heaven" art auction, presented by Vanity Fair and the Cosmopolitan Hotel, host Scarlett Johansson welcomed celebs and artists to Siren Studios. Both the silent auction and live auction benefitted Arts of Elysium, a non-profit that links members of the entertainment industry with children grappling with medical conditions. HuffPost Senior Arts Editor Kimberly Brooks, who was one of the co-hosts, said, "I can't think of a better cause then bringing art to children to who really need it. I donated a piece, that's how much I believe in it." Gallery owner Heather Taylor added, "The LA art scene is so vibrant right now and it was truly exhilarating to see so many people supporting such a wonderful cause and a great art event."

Oscar Parties Wednesday Night

Rodarte sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy celebrated the opening of Rodarte: States of Matter, at MOCA's Pacific Deisgn Center. Six tutus designed for Natalie Portman's role on Black Swan were on display, as well as select pieces from Rodarte's recent fashion seasons. Guests included indie singer Jenny Lewis, Bravo's Work Of Art host China Chow, and design doyenne Diane von Furstenberg.

Environmental types gathered at the Avalon in Hollywood for Global Green USA's 8th Annual Pre-Oscar Party. The theme of the night was "Greener Cities For A Cooler Planet," The Examiner reports that the band Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (featured on the Twilight: New Moon soundtrack) entertained the over 1,400 attendees.
