Lawrence O'Donnell Rips Glenn Beck's Apology, Accuses Him Of 'Spewing Falsehoods' (VIDEO)

O'Donnell Rips Beck's Apology, Says He's 'Spewing Falsehoods'

Glenn Beck presumably hoped that his apology for comparing Reform Judaism to "radicalized Islam" would be sufficient for everyone. Clearly, Lawrence O'Donnell disagreed, because, on his Thursday show, he went through Beck's apology word for word and found it very, very wanting.

First, O'Donnell criticized Beck for not replaying the comments that got the Anti-Defamation League to accuse him of "bigoted ignorance." In his apology, Beck said he wasn't going to "rehash" the kerfuffle. To O'Donnell, this really meant that Beck was telling his audience, "I'm not going to ever say the awful thing that I'm apologizing for."

Then, O'Donnell slammed Beck for saying, "I'm on the air for four hours every day...live, without a script. that is a recipe for disaster."

To O'Donnell, this was a slap in the face to people who had to do their jobs for far longer than four hours a day. Beck, he said, should try telling that to airline pilots or the union protesters in Wisconsin, "none of whom make the $32 million that Glenn Beck makes every year spewing falsehoods and attacking religions he knows nothing about."

Finally, O'Donnell was not satisfied with Beck's conclusion, where he apologized to anyone "if I offended you."

"There is no if!" O'Donnell said. "Jews have told Beck he offended Jews, and then beck says to Jews, "if I offended you."
