I think you have to understand a little bit about design and the architecture that goes into haute couture. The dress may not be everyone's taste, but it is a work of art. Incredible.

Poor Cate..., she was always one of the best dressed for so long. maybe she just wanted to shake things up.., pull a big ol' wammy! .., a joke on everyone to see who would tell the emperor she has no pretty clothes on. well cate, i am here to tell ya, this ain't pretty. its a b big ol' mess.

Total disaster. The back is even worse. Looks like a tablecloth, or perhaps an 8th grade sewing project. It's not interesting, it's not shocking, it's not glamourous, it's just wrong.

While I think that part of the problem is that Cate can't carry it off, I still can't imagine choosing this dress, with all of the fabulous gowns that Givenchy has to offer. It looks like a costume straight from the set of a Sci-Fi film.

Agreed--I think this dress might look amazing on a different body type and coloring. I don't like the way it sits on her shoulders. It looks like one of Queen Amidala's gowns without the top heavy headpieces.

It works from the waist down. I love the long pleated skirt, but the bodice is hideous especially when looking at it dead on.
