This year's Oscars certainly weren't the most exciting, but at least they ended on a high note.

After months of preparation, Staten Island's very own PS 22 choir took the stage for a heart-warming rendition of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow."

The adorable performers raved about seeing so many stars from stage, and gushed to the Daily News about the big night:

"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, it was really crazy. When we ended on the final note, I started jumping up and down and crying. I cried for a long, long time I was so happy," a breathless Azaria Chamorro, 10, said after the performance.

Ah yes, H-P reporters.."Somewhere," from the classic film "It's a Twister!". starring Judy Garland, Bill Paxton, and Helen Hunt.

The song is called "Over the Rainbow." Not "Somewhere."

You are correct, sir (or madam)! "Somewhere" is from "West Side Story."

Bad choral arrangement, bad choral direction, but the munchkins' singing was great!

I' m just sad they didn't get to do more than one song. Seems to e they could have opened the sho as well. It would have improved to the beginning greatly!

Still curious why Matt Hoffman bailed on these youngsters.

And all they ever talk about is science, math, technology...and the first thing that gets CUT? The arts. Well the arts are not just more than some kinda therapeutic outlet... they teach discipline. And discipline goes a real long way....

Don't care about the oscars but the kids made me cry. Guess it's the old music educator coming back in me thinking about how music can transform kids' lives.

At least it sure has made a difference in these kids' lives.

That was the best part of the Oscars....sorry to say. Doesn't Ann Hathaway look like a mini-Liza Minnelli?

These youngsters were FANTASTIC. I could not believe how they sounded so great. Maybe someone needs to let them cut a couple of CDs to raise funds for their school. They would make a fortune.

They were lip-syncing. I don't understand why everyone is so pumped about this. The Oscars are dumb. The kids weren't dancing like some pop tart, so if they weren't out of breath why couldn't they sing live? Totally lame.
