GOOD LA's CicLAvia Party

Party For Charity: GOOD's CicLAvia Benefit At Atwater Crossing

Who: You! Be one of the 750 attendees to join GOOD LA (whose past events' attendees have included Natalie Portman, Drew Barrymore, Spike Jonze, Sergey Brin and Larry Page, Al Gore, Jessica Alba, and Malcolm Gladwell) in partying for a cause.

What: GOOD LA brings the party to Atwater Crossing for a fundraiser benefiting CicLAvia. Enjoy live music and sample socially conscious, sustainable food and beverages provided by New Belgium Brewing, Nom Nom Truck, Food Forward!, Razor's Edge! Wine, and more. There will also be a free yoga class with yoga teacher CJ Frogozo, a bike clinic workshop, and a dodgeball game hosted by Eagle Rock Yacht Club.

Cost: $20 and up. Purchase tickets here

When: Saturday, March 5, 2-7pm

Where: Atwater Crossing (ATX), 3229 Casitas Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90039

Why: Inspired by the original Ciclovías in Bogotá, Colombia, which were created in response to increasing traffic congestion and pollution in the city, CicLAvia aims to open Los Angeles streets to pedestrians and byciclists in order to see the city, mingle with others, and spend the day away from their cars. Ciclavia events encourage community building, active lifestyles which promote health, and social consciousness about pollution and our environmental impact in LA. GOOD's event on Saturday will raise funds to make CicLAvia's upcoming events--on 4/10/11, 7/10/11, and 10/9/11--even bigger and more fun for everyone.
