Lindsay Lohan Tells Dad Michael: Stop Talking About Me

All the side commentary has finally gotten to Lindsay Lohan. Only thing is, it's the incessant, unhelpful public words from her father that's really got her upset.

Lohan, who is fresh out of rehab and now dealing with potential jail time over allegations that she stole a necklace from a Los Angeles jewelry store, has finally had enough of dad Michael's public commentary over her troubles. In a statement to Radar Online, Lindsay said:

"I am sorry that my father has continually chosen to speak publicly about our relationship, my mother, my siblings, and my professional team. I am working through my recovery day-by-day and find his public media bouts unnecessary and damaging."

The final straw seems to be Lohan's out-of-nowhere deal to join the next season of the show "Celebrity Rehab," perhaps an odd choice given the advice and pleas to get help he's always issuing to his daughter. The move was said to upset Lindsay, who wanted her dad's payment used for child support for her two younger siblings.

In late February, Michael diagnosed Lindsay from afar, saying that her troubles and misdeeds have stemmed from a "broken heart" over his divorce from her mom, Dina.

Also in February, Michael agreed, on Lindsay's behalf, to appear on the "Late Show with David Letterman". He says Lindsay had agreed to do it, but backed out at the last minute; she disputes having ever okayed the appearance.
