Authorities are investigating why the roof an arena collapsed in Central Maine.

Kennebec Ice Arena had its roof collapse Wednesday afternoon in the city of Hallowell, Maine, between Portland and Bangor. No one was injured, according to local TV affiliate WMTW.

The Portland Press Herald reports that the arena opened in 1970 and had been home to a number of high school and club hockey teams.

It also offered public skating sessions, camps and clinics, per its official website.

The arena is believed to be a total loss, WMTW reported.
