Austin Bice Missing: Search Is On For American Student In Spain
An expansive search is underway for an American student studying abroad in Spain who has gone missing.
Austin Bice, 22, a San Diego State University senior, has not been seen or heard from since Friday. The student was living in Madrid.
CBS has more:
[Bice] was last seen late Friday night trying to get into [a] club, but was denied admission because he was drunk, according to Spanish media.
"He stayed outside a little while longer with another friend to see if they would let him in," friend Tamara Lerena said on local Spanish television. "When they didn't, he just took off and went home. They let his friend in."
Bice then told the friends he was with he was going to walk home but apparently never made it.
CNN reports that Bice had been studying at the University of Carlos III since mid-January.
Bice is described as 6'5 and 230 pounds.
