Daniel Craig In Drag For International Women's Day

First Posted: 03/07/11 11:23 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 07:35 PM ET

This is perhaps James Bond's greatest disguise yet.

Daniel Craig, who plays the British secret agent, dresses in drag in this video in honor of International Women's Day. Narrated by Judi Dench -- who plays Craig's boss, M, in the Bond films -- the two minute video discusses the disparity in pay and opportunity between women and men. It's part of the EQUALS project, a charity led by Annie Lennox.

Craig will next be seen -- in men's clothing -- in the upcoming film "Cowboys and Aliens."

One of the best pieces of proaganda(thats a compliment folks) I've ever seen. Short to the point, direct and funny where it needs to be. Ms. Dench, in character as M., delivers the gravitas to keep it from being camp. Craig has more balls than Bond ever did.

It is a tragedy that women have to face these evils still but unfortunately some of the things she mentioned have little to do with gender equality. How about we address the real issues in society that manifest those ugly symptoms instead of making cool ads. I wish my sister/ mother/ fiance didn't have to worry about being robbed by a desperate person either.

Dame Judi Dench's voice paired with Mr. Craigs dignified silence.

What a wonderfully understated and classy way for Dame Judi Dench and Mr. Daniel Craig to highlight the plight of women around the globe!

Maybe more men will take Mr. Craig's lead and be willing to walk a day in 'another woman's' pumps and clip-on earrings.

Thank you, Daniel Craig and Judi Dench!

Anyone else think Daniel Craig in drag is just a less horse-like Anne Coulter?

Terrible idea, poorly executed.

Judy Dench says men are much less likely to suffer sexual assault. Does the scene from Casino Royale count as a "sexual assault" when the villain whose eye weeped blood thwacked James Bond's balls repeatedly with that custom ball-thwacker he was twirling on a cord?

(My friends and I nearly died laughing during that scene. Not because anyone doesn't like Daniel Craig. Rather it was that we were baked and ended up predicting the whole.

Goodman said "Watch, he'll compliment his body". ["You've been taking care of yourself, Mr. Bond."] We all cracked up. Then I saw the guy cut the bottom out of the chair and take out his twirling thwacker (tallywhacker). I said "Oh crap, he's going to thwack his balls. We were just dying.)

Where was Money Penny? She was such a sweetheart. I hated it when she got killed in that one episode. Now James Bond has been made to wear a dress. International Women's Day is cool and everything, but I'm standing up for Daniel Craig.

James Bond doesn't have to just soldier on for his harsh mistress played by Judy Dench. He also gets to pop champagne and be a womanizer.

Casino Royale was entertaining. I'm going to watch Quantum of Solace too. But I'd like to see James Bond launch a bureaucratic insurrection, toppling "M", putting her 'in her place'. He suffered a lot for her already. That would make a nice segue for the next chauvinist James Bond.

Once more with autocorrect off.... Hmm, rather expecting a bit more from the HP posting crowd. A fine example of what the world, or part of it, is waking up to. There are far more "haves" than "have nots" and for little good reason but for the perpetuation of the classist power base. And power, is something you take from someone willing to let it go.

Ya beginning to see how artificial and rigid male female gender roles have become in the USA, since the 60's ? We have regressed.
