Already over the iPad 2? Here come another round of rumors for the next Apple device on the horizon: the iPhone 5.

According to Taiwanese source Economic News Daily, the next generation of iPhone will be a significant upgrade from the iPhone 4, released June 2010.

The site reports that the iPhone 5 will no longer include the glass back of the iPhone 4 and instead use an aluminum case, as in the original iPhone. Apple's reason for the switch apparently has to do with scratching issues on the iPhone 4, as well as the problems the company experienced attempting to manufacture a white iPhone.

Also to be fixed: the much-maligned antenna. Rumors suggest Apple will locate the antenna behind the Apple logo, in an effort to deal with the exposed antenna problems of earlier phones.

Economic News Daily adds that the iPhone 5, like the iPad 2, will use the fast A5 chip in the new phone.

Earlier rumors have predicted that the iPhone 5 will be bigger, smaller, cheaper, and much, much more. As always, only Apple knows for now.

Honestly, there are way too many rumours out there. I just stick to iphone5rumours.com as they seem to just report news with atleast SOME credibility.

As always, I will be getting one about a week or two after they come out. I like hear all the gossip, first, so that I can discredit it as I have never had an issue that has been reported to have occurred, with any iPhone.

There are many rumours now that the iPhone 5 will be out in the summer. I hope this is true as my old iPhone has broken so I am just going to wait it out for the new iPhone 5.

The new iPhone 5 is going to be pretty sweet, and I can't wait to get it myself once it comes out. I'll probably try to find it on one of these auction sites though instead of buying it brand new, http://www.pennyauctionsreview.org

The new Android phone's are pretty sweet though too, so I'm not sure how many phones I'm going to actually buy =)

Was browsing around and found some pretty sweet 'engineering mold' pictures that some site from China claims to have access too. Read it here www.iphone5rumours.com

LOL... I'm just going to laugh at this "new" version of the iPhone like Steve Jobs laughs at iPhone users all the way to the bank.

Odd, since none of the other companies in the world has released a new product since 1963...

When a Wall Street Journal columnist can save big dollars buying lesser known brands of phones and tablets, it is worth noting.
So here is part of the story in today's WSJ:
"I bought a Barnes & Noble Nook Color tablet (for $190 plus tax from a temporary online promotion, down from the usual $250). And then I downloaded a very simple, perfectly legal software fix from the Internet that turned it into a fully functioning tablet running on Google's Android platform. The fix, known as a "rooting," unlocks Barnes & Noble's proprietary overlay. The instructions came via Ars Technica, a reputable site devoted to technology, and were pretty easy to follow.
I wasn't really expecting it to work. I tried it as an experiment. But the results were remarkable.
The Nook Color, which was designed mainly for reading books and magazines, is about half the size of an iPad or a Xoom. It weighs about 30% less. It runs on WiFi, but not 3G. It has an absolutely superb screen. And, once you've unlocked the software, it runs many Android applications, from email to news readers TweetDeck to, yes, Angry Birds.
It even, ironically, runs the Kindle app from Barnes & Noble's rival Amazon.com. So I can now use my Nook Color to read Kindle books.

Anybody who still thinks iphones are the best phones around are either a woman or just dont get phones. Atrix is a modern day marvel; iphone is a has-been says this iphone4 owner who cant wait for his contract to end so he can get an Atrix. Iphone5 is just a slightly modified version of iphone4; the new must have so women can through some more money away at apple; oh the phone must match my hand bag.

Too bad some men never learned the difference between "through" and "throw", but I suppose boasting that you're smarter than women is all that truly matters.
Fortunately you seem to have found wonderful companionship with your phone.

I have every Apple product made. I admit I have an addiction. I tried to get help. First, I used Google on the PC at work, looking for rehabilitation centers. But, damn, I kept getting pop up ads and all kinds of error messages.

I finally used my iPad, only to find that the Lohan-Sheen Rehab Center had no openings.

My alarm is already set for 12:01 Thursday morning. I have to get the new iPad. Now a new phone?

This may drive me over the edge.

iPhone 4 is already revolutionary enough. I have the entire world, and entire canon of literature ever made by human kind at my fingertips on a daily basis. This could not get any better or more amazing.

Yes. But does it match your handbag? iphone5 is the next must have from apple, they are counting on you to trash your iphone4 and upgrade to iphone5 immediately.
