Robin Kelsch Buzzer Beater: Augusta High School Basketball Coach Nails 3-Pointer (VIDEO)

Basketball Coach Sinks Buzzer Beater

This might be the coolest way to end a 13-year coaching career.

Robin Kelsch, who is retiring after 13 seasons as Augusts High School's basketball coach, had his last game on Friday night when his Panthers lost 99-69 loss to the Scott High Eagles in the Region 10 semifinals.

During the final seconds, an Eagles player missed a free throw and the Panthers quickly moved the ball down the court. Kelsh suddenly received a pass while standing by his bench and knocked down an unofficial 3-pointer at the buzzer.

According to Dave Malaska of KyPost.com, the farewell was planned by Scott coach Brad Carr.

"The fact that it went in, I had a tear in my eye," Carr said after the game. "It was a fitting way for Robin to end things."
