Brush off your Wendy Greuel lawn signs because over the weekend, the city controller made it official, filing her paperwork with the city Ethics Commission to start raising money for the 2013 mayoral race.
Energy/utility analyst YJ Draiman also filed papers and launched a website for the 2013 race.
Greuel is a familiar face around City Hall. In 2002, Greuel won a run-off election against former Assemblyman, now councilman, Tony Cardenas to fill the remainder of Second District Councilman Joel Wachs' term. She was reelected in 2003 and 2007, and served until July 2009 when she assumed the office of controller.
