Aaron Eckhart: I Broke My Arm Filming 'Battle: LA'

Aaron Eckhart Describes Major Injury During Movie Stunt

He played an emotionally hazardous role in "Rabbit Hole." In "Battle: LA," Aaron Eckhart put himself in the middle of hazards a little more physical.

And he got burned.

The star appeared Tuesday on "Lopez Tonight" to promote his new military vs. aliens flick, and described how he got way too close to his kick ass character for comfort.

"There was this beautiful fireball that was going up," he said. "And I wanted to do a [Michael] Jordan through the fireball... and so I say to the camera man, I'm gonna do this, you catch me like this..."

Turns out, there wasn't much catching going on.

"I went, slipped, fell seven feet onto my head and my arm just goes crack. And I had to pick up this big thing, this heavy thing, and my arm's broken, and I'm sitting there, burning... It's great for the movie though!"

Well, as long as we can profit off the pain!
