Zach Galifianakis 'SNL' Promos With Andy Samberg (VIDEO)

We have high hopes for this next episode of "Saturday Night Live." Zach Galifianakis is hosting!

Yes, this weekend everyone's favorite bearded oddball will grace the stage of Studio 8H for the second time in as many seasons, so hopefully this will become a regular thing.

Last time, Galifianakis pulled out all the stops, starring in a bunch of hilarious sketches and even shaving his iconic beard backstage for one. What do you think he'll do this time?

Why won't NBC take this show out of its misery and cancel it. The only reason I DVR it is that I suffer from a combination of "old times sake," and "hope springs eternal" syndrome, namely that maybe just once, it will blunder its way into being funny, the way it once was. Thank goodness for the fast forward button on the DVR.

There's no blockbuster where we live and it's almost as cheap to buy the blue ray as it is for two people to go to the movies and see it once. Here's a deal: reimburse us for two movie tickets for each movie and I'll eat the other $5.

Humor is subjective. I like SNL because they usually have something for everyone and if all skits fail, I still like Seth Meyers' weekend update. I miss Fey and Pohler.

First, you're watching TMZ. What does that say about you?

Second. What "heritage" are you referring to, because I can't think of anything beyond "rich enough to buy his way into show business" that dosn't sound biased and racist.

And lastly, he's been a standup for quite awhile. He's been acting for quite awhile. A glance at his IMDb board will give you an idea just how much he's done, but not the whole story. He was doing standup for a good ten years before he got any roles. Other comics love him. Audiences love him. He may not be your cup of tea, he is certainly an acquired taste, but I think he's earned his stardom. Nobody can make you a star if you're not that good. Just ask American Idol.

I like Zach. He's appealing in a gentle, kind, doofusy kind of way. But with a bite, and a glint in his eye. Oh, and the pause. There is nothing funnier - to me - than the awkward pause! He is the master of the pregnant pause.

(If folks are going to be critical of someone - especially celebrities - please try to be exact about it at least.)
