Gerald Wallace Calls Bobcats-Trail Blazers Trade 'Stab In The Back'

'Stab In The Back'

Gerald Wallace hasn't been shy about expressing his disappointment in the Charlotte Bobcats organization for trading him to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Earlier this week, Wallace said he felt "betrayed" by the Bobcats for trading him. On Thursday, he continued to unleash his frustration and described the trade as a "stab in the back."

"To feel like you're not wanted anymore or you're not good enough for the franchise anymore, it's a slap in the face," said Wallace. "That was a hurtful feeling for me."

The Trail Blazers face off against the Bobcats on Friday night.

The All-Star forward described the feeling of getting traded and said he was blindsided. According to Wallace, coach Paul Silas told him he was not going to get traded.

"Basically, he told me before the practice that I was good, that no trades were going to go down and I was OK and I didn't have anything to worry about," Wallace said. "Then I get home and bam, I'm traded."

Wallace was the last original player of the Bobcats organization.
